Teaching and Research Involvement

The PhD in Artificial Intelligence is a fully accredited research doctorate for professionals advancing AI in business, technology, or law. Recognised under Swiss law and aligned with the Bologna framework, the programme combines academic rigour with international acknowledgement.

Research Engagement and Dissemination

Candidates receive fundamental research training and are expected to publish at least two peer-reviewed articles in recognised academic journals. They will also participate in scientific AI conferences organised by the institute to build academic reputation, gain presentation experience, and communicate their research to a wider public.

Teaching and Research Involvement

PhD candidates may receive a partial reduction of their total tuition fee in return for AI-related teaching or research contributions at the Swiss AI Institute. Such reductions may be granted through assistantship arrangements, subject to availability, academic requirements, and applicable funding. Participation is not guaranteed, and any reduction will be defined in individual agreements, if and when applicable.

The MBA in AI combines business fundamentals with applied AI expertise, preparing participants to manage innovation, compliance, and transformation. With a focus on real-world application, the curriculum includes nine modules and a live project—bridging management, technical, and legal dimensions of AI.

Upon completion, students will also receive a Chief AI Officer certificate recognising their qualification in strategic AI leadership.
